Healthy Food Swaps (That Actually Taste Good) Part 1

Healthy Food Swaps (That Actually Taste Good) Part 1

Let’s be real — I love snacks. I love chocolate. And I definitely love a fizzy drink here and there. But I also care about what I’m putting into my body, and over the years I’ve found a few simple swaps that make a huge difference — without sacrificing flavor (because life’s too short for bland health food).

Here are a few of my absolute favorites:

1. Ditch the Junk Oils — But Keep the Chips

I’m never going to be someone who gives up chips. But I am someone who reads the ingredients — and most chips are cooked in canola, soybean, or other inflammatory oils. That’s why I always look for potato chips made with avocado oilinstead. It’s such an easy switch, and your body will thank you. The taste? Just as crunchy and satisfying — but without the junk.

Look for brands that say “avocado oil” right on the front of the bag. You’d be surprised how many options are out there once you start looking.

2. My Favorite Chocolate Fix: ChocZero

I’ve got a serious sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate. But most chocolate bars are loaded with sugar — and that just doesn’t work for me anymore. Enter: ChocZero.

It’s hands down my favorite chocolate alternative. It tastes amazing, has no added sugar, and it doesn’t spike my blood sugar like regular candy. Whether you love dark, milk, or white chocolate, they’ve got something for you — plus peanut butter cups, syrups, and more.

3. Soda? No Thanks. Lollipop? YES.

Sometimes you just want a cold, refreshing, fizzy drink — and for me, Ollipop (sponsored link) is it.

It actually tastes GOOD (not like those fake “healthy” sodas that miss the mark), and it’s made with ingredients that support your gut and blood sugar instead of wrecking them. I keep a few flavors in my fridge at all times — it seriously hits the spot when I want something bubbly.

At the end of the day, I don’t believe in restriction — I believe in upgrading. These small changes don’t just make me feel better, they also taste amazing. So if you’re on a wellness journey and want to keep things fun, these are a few easy places to start.

Let me know if you try any of them — I love hearing what you think!
